Frances Davidge McClamroch, 92, the oldest living graduate of Crawfordsville High Schoool, died today in Culver Hospital. She had been a patient in Golden Manor Nursing Home and prior to that had resided on Rt. 8, Crawfordsville. She was the oldest member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church and was a member of DAR group A, Art League and Manchester Home Economics Club. She attended Mills Elementary School and was a 1900 graduate of CHS. After graduation she taught school and helped her husband at the McClamroch & Sons Shoe Store here. She was born in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 4, 1882, a daughter of George and Eudora J. Sloan Chamberlin. She married Charles N. McClamroch on June 19, 1905 at Crawfordsville. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Harting of Jamestown; a son, Charles Jr., serving with the Peace Corps in Coasta Rica; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. John (Mae) McClamroch of Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, John, and a sister, Agnes. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Burkhart Funeral Home with the Rev. L. K. Wickett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. The family requests that memorials be made in the form of donations to the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. - jlr
